Hailing from Middlebury, Vermont, Joe Isenberg is a distinguished fight director with a background in acting. A graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts, Joe trained under Gerald Freedman before making his mark in Washington, DC. As the Kennedy Center's first Resident Fight Director, Joe's work has earned him five Helen Hayes Award nominations and the Outstanding Swashbuckler Award from the Society of American Fight Directors. Now based in New York City, Joe is focusing more on fight choreography, where he continues to choreograph and teach, sharing his expertise and passion for the performing arts.
